Running 101

Running is now my number one sports. Eto lang ang kaya ko (this is all I can do). I can't afford to go to the gym, I always don't have time, beside in running, I can do it anytime, anywhere. Running is fun, especially if you found a running buddy, or buddies. My target goal for my 3K run is 15 minutes, so far I haven't reached the goal yet...well, my latest stats with Run United 2 last August 21 at Bonifacio Global City was 29 minutes and 47 seconds, not bad for a 165 lbs, forty-niner. Joining fun runs lets you meet new friends, enjoy early morning jogs with your buddy, especially if it's your loved ones, super bonding talaga (really)!
I have committed to improve my health and my life since I was diagnosed with diabetes (high sugar level). I have taken the first step toward achieving a better life. Of all the healthy habits I can establish, exercise is more important. Daily walking from home to my office deliver as many benefits as all my eating strategies. My walking routine now takes higher level - running as far as my heart and feet delight. On weekends, my sister, my son and I, either run at the Sanctuario de Carmona (the only memorial place in Carmona, Cavite)or sometimes we took the road going to the Manila Jockey Club. It's a little bit uphill and tend to pushed us to our limit, but it's worth it. Now, I committed myself to join one running event every month. And my next run will be on September 4 at the PICC Grounds, a fun run sponsored by the Civil Service Commission to commemorate the 111th year of the Philippine Civil Service. This time, I get to run with my office-mates, who I think, really need to do something about their bodies...hahaha.
